Even after the track has been cleaned with an appropriate track cleaner, dust and other particles usually stay behind and need to be removed with a good vacuum cleaner. This is were the Turbo Vacuum Cleaner comes in. With its powerful multistage axial turbine it creates plenty of suction to remove everything from dust to heavier objects such as traction tires or small circuit boards...
Features:
- The motor operates on AC, DC or DCC.
- A high airflow rate generates the optimal swirl that picks up the dust.
- The turbine reaches its ideal rotating speed between 18V to 20V. With DCC it reaches this speed without any special electronics added.
- Few movable parts, therefore little that can go wrong.
- Equipped with a bracket to attach a permanent magnet under the car, which picks up any metal parts that may be laying on the track.
- A small brush with industrial strength stiff bristles removes stuck on dirt ahead of the vacuum nozzle.
- The turbine is positioned behind the dirt collection chamber and filter, which prevents turbine or motor damage through “large” flying debris.
- Strong coreless motor with a service life of more than 3000 hours.
- Little to service: Empty the dirt chamber (see through) and replace the filter when needed.
- Good driving and cleaning characteristics. The “center” of the pick-up nozzle can easily be offset in two stages to accommodate for different track radiuses.
- NEM coupler shaft on one end. Accepts Kaddee style couplers.
- The Turbo Vacuum Cleaner is made from NiRo-steel, brass and acrylic glass and weighs 550 grams (19.4 oz).
It is available for 2-rail and 3-rail HO.
- The Turbo Vacuum Cleaner does not claim to be beautiful, nor is it made to scale of a particular prototype. It is built for a particular task, which it performs to a very high degree.
Technical Data
