SPEIKOMP

A collection of electronic components required to build a power back-up to keep the locomotive powered on dirty sections of track. Each ZIMO decoder has solder pads available where one of those power packs can be connected to. The kit comes with a diode, resistors, choke coil and a few capacitors. Larger capacitors can be used and is even encouraged (see decoder operating manuals).

Sub-miniature servo with memory wire technology. The 3 connecting wires conform to the usual servo standards (ground, +5V and control wire) and can therefore be used with every ZIMO decoder with servo capability such as the MX630, MX640, MX69, MX690...
Some of them even supply the +5V required by the servo.
In contrast to normal servo motors, this servo must remain under power after reaching its end position!

MXDECUP

ZIMO decoder update module: All ZIMO decoders can be updated with new firmware by the user at home, without removing the decoder from the loco.

The MXDECUP comes with a proper power supply and serial cable for your computer.

A computer is required with Windows operating system and Internet connection as well as a program called ZIMO Service Tool (ZST), which can be downloaded from ZIMO at no charge. Decoder update files are also free downloads from ZIMO
