This 10-conductor flat ribbon cable and the 10-pin board allow a simple and quick connection of any large-scale ZIMO decoder to 10-pin DCC plug of LGB engines. Also for 2005 or newer LGB engines that come DCC ready but don’t have sound or a decoder installed.

Can also be used to replace an LGB Onboard decoder with a ZIMO decoder by using an LGB board with the same pin-out as the Onboard decoder (available from LGB as replacement part).

Adapter board, made by ARNOLD HUEBSCH, changes the decoder’s plug-in connection to a screw terminal connection.

The 12-pin version covers all pins of the “first” MX69 connector since the power and motor connections are already available as screw terminals on the decoder.

MX69LGBK

Connecting cable that easily connects the 16-pin connector of the MX65/MX66/MX69 decoder with the 6-pin socket of the DCC ready LGB board found on older LGB models (@ 2000).

SPEIGOMP

A collection of electronic components required to build a power back-up module to keep large scale locomotives powered on dirty sections of track. The kit comes with a diode, resistors, choke coil and and 2 x 4700 mF capacitors. Larger capacitors can be used and is even encouraged (see decoder operating manuals).

Direct Adaptor

Adaptor board, made by ARNOLD HUEBSCH, for the simple replacement of a LGB Direct Decoder with a ZIMO MX69.

LGB Adaptor for MX69/MX690

This board, made by MANHART, fits in place of an original LGB Onboard decoders and offers the same plug-in connections required by the locomotive. This greatly simplifies the conversion to an MX69S or MX69V.

The board is identical in size and plug configuration to the LGB Onboard decoder; the power output for lights/smoke generators is adjustable (Maxi version offers two different voltage outputs) and contains the electronics required to connect a (Sound) power back-up capacitor.

SUSI Cable

4 conductor cable that connects the decoder with a SUSI module (i.e. SUSI sound modules). About 15 cm long with JST plugs.

DIGIKUPL

Digitally controlled coupler, made by KROIS, with LGB-type hook. Built-in solenoid connects to a ZIMO decoder output for remote uncoupling of cars (the car hitched to the loco must not have a hook)

ENTKLGB

Digital uncoupler, made by FERTIG, without actuator. It comes with a cable attached that can be connected to an external actuator (usually a servo). ZIMO decoders a capable of driving servos directly and the MX69V/MX690V even supplies the 5V required by the servo. This coupler also lifts the hook on the other coupler.

Smoke generator, made by USA TRAINS, with fan for synchronized steam puffs (or diesel smoke) together with a MX690V decoder

This speaker, made by VISATON, measures 50 mm in diameter, is only 2 cm deep and waterproof. 8 Ohm, 3 Watt, 170 - 17’000 Hz is ideal for the MX690S or MX690V, even in the enhanced version (audio amplifier).

This speaker, made by VISATON, measures 60 mm in diameter, is only 2 cm deep and waterproof. 8 Ohm, 3 Watt, 200 - 15’000 Hz is ideal for the MX690S or MX690V, even in the enhanced version (audio amplifier).
